Lucille has received awards from different organisations for the Rethinking Business Communications Blog over the years. For example, Feedspot has named her blog a top communication blog since 2017, while Business First Impression and Expertido have ranked her blog among the best communication blogs on the web.
Her work is also globally appreciated. She continues to be recognised as a thought leader in business communication.

Top 30 Communication Professionals 2024 – Global Gurus
Lucille was ranked the #8 communication professional for 2024. She remains the only African and Black female to appear in the communication category. She was featured alongside communication heavyweights Nancy Duarte (#4), David JP Phillips (#11), and Matt Abrahams (#19).

Top Communications Trainer of the Year 2023 – IAOTP
The International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), headquartered in New York, USA, named Lucille the ‘Top Communications Trainer’ for 2023. She was selected for the award by an esteemed international panel in recognition of her “outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry”.
Ambassador for Emotional Wellbeing
The organisers of Pride Women Conference presented the plaque to Lucille in appreciation of the speech she gave on soft skills in May 2021.
Distinguished Support Award – Society of Petroleum Engineers (Lagos Chapter)
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (Lagos Chapter) honoured Lucille with the ‘Distinguished Support Award’ in August 2020. Earlier in the month, Lucille delivered a short course on business writing at the first-ever E-Technology Symposium & Exhibition.
Spirit of Service Award – Lagos Business School
In 2019, Lucille was presented with the ‘Spirit of Service’ award by the Lagos Business School, in recognition of her highly rated communication training programmes delivered for staff.
